Josephburg CP Holiday Train

On Friday, December 9, the CP Holiday Train will pull into Josephburg, stopping at the Moyer Recreation Centre to raise money and food for local food banks. Decorated for the holidays with thousands of Christmas lights, the festive train is expected to arrive at 5 p.m.

Admission is free and will feature outdoor musical performances by Tenille Townes and Aysanabee from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring healthy, non-perishable food items or cash donations.

Parking restrictions will be in effect in Josephburg.

Please drive with caution. Watch for pedestrians and obey parking restrictions and road closure signs. Strathcona County anticipates that more than 3,000 visitors will make their way to the event.

Public parking will only be available at the designated parking area.  Parking at Moyer Recreation Centre will be reserved for individuals with valid parking placards and for persons with disabilities.  Dogs are not encouraged to attend this event due to large crowds and loud music.

Parking in the Josephburg town site is available only to residents with a valid parking permit.

Parking will not be permitted along the roadsides of Highway 830, Township Road 550 or Range Road 215.
