Cancelled – Savor Vermilion
The board of the Good Life Institute gathered this morning to weigh the information concerning the newly released regulations that came into effect on Friday, November 13th. The SAVOR event was intended to bring our community a sense of “normalcy” during these trying times, while of course adhering to all the protocols. Hence, we had changed it to a seated event, limited the hours, cart service to tables, mask wearing for vendors / servers / volunteers, limited ticket sales, changed it to a two-day event, advertised only locally, plans to screen participants, and were going to maintain social distancing.
At this time, the County of Vermilion River is not considered an “enhanced” or “purple” zone. Therefore, the newly released regulations of limiting social events to 15 people are not currently applicable. Even so, after reviewing current statistics in our area and our zone being only 3 cases away from being deemed an enhanced zone, we have made the decision to cancel SAVOR.
The GLI wants to do their part to protect our community. We hope that we are again able to provide community events in the near future.
