“Here is our game board for the Adventure roadtrip! We had so much fun touring around; thank you so much for the fun ideas!!” [Laura, Fort Saskatchewan resident]
“This is a great idea and something we are thoroughly enjoying doing. Kudos to the team that put this game together. I look forward to next year's version and will keep an eye out for it.” [Pat, Edmonton resident]
“We had a lot of fun on this roadtrip as we combined it with the “World’s Largest” roadtrip we planned on doing, so it worked perfectly. It was a great introduction to the small towns on the east side of Edmonton as we’ve been here for 6 years now, and we all enjoyed the scenic routes as well. The sticker stops felt like the pitstops in the Amazing Race. Thanks, and I guess until the next adventure game.” [Alek, Elenita, and Liam, Edmonton resident]
“We had such a great time doing this challenge with the kids. It was so much fun and got so many pictures we can’t wait until next year's roadtrip adventure. Using the website as well as the magazine, Go East of Edmonton, to plan the trip definitely made it effortless.” [Casey & Michelle, Spruce Grove resident]
“Thanks again for a wonderful roadtrip game. Our family shared a lot of laughs and made plenty of memories this summer.” [Jaime, Legal resident]
“My wife, Sarah Ryan, and I just completed the Northeast of Edmonton section of the Go East Roadtrip Adventure. We had a wonderful time! We’d been to a lot of the places for work before, but never to explore as vacationers. Thank you so much for making this game!” [Craig, Edmonton resident]
Roadtrip Game Testimonials from Facebook
“We tested out the swings along the lake and walked along the shoreline before taking a guided tour of Lac La Biche Mission. So much history to learn about there! #goeastofedmonton #laclabicheregion” [Craig and Sarah Ryan]
“And our final stop of #mygeeroadtrip2020 was Athabasca. We walked along the river, saw some gorgeous murals and learned about how boats used to be made here to haul supplies north to Fort McMurray. #goeastofedmonton #visitathabasca” [Craig and Sarah Ryan]
Almost home...... on the way through Go East of Edmonton RoadTrip Adventure Game.......so pretty at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre.” [Brenda Blair]
“Our family has spent the last two weekends exploring more of our province. We have been having a blast playing along on the #goeastofedmonton roadtrip game.
We have been to #strathco #strathcona hiking #beaverhillsbiosphere #fortsask #fortsaskatchewan where we got to see Rockie in action with his sheep.
Got to see a cool meteor at the firehall in #bruderheim.
We had fun checking out the giant sausage in Mundare #lamontcounty. And were thoroughly impressed by the giant egg/Pysanka at #ExploreVegreville
We enjoyed the agricultural college and river and parks in #explorevermilion #vermilion
We stayed at a great hotel in #townofwainwright and had an awesome dinner at #thehoneypot you should definitely eat there.
#camrosecounty #doubledamgolfcourse had the friendliest people we have met on our trip. They even let us take the kids for a little rip on golf cart. #toursimcamrose we had a play at the park and enjoyed the fountain.
#visitathabasca we had lunch at BP’s and ran around the splash park having lots of fun! #laclabicheregion we learned a lot at the museum and checked out the beach.
#giantpumpkins #smokylakeregion also had a great time at the museum and giant pumpkins.
#mdofbonnyville we played some mini golf and hit some balls at the driving range. #bonnyville had a fantastic time touring the Bonnyville museum #angusshawstatue
And we finished our trip and stayed the night at #coldlake and had a great breakfast at #jonnywaffles on the water. This adventure is a lot of fun and a wonderful way to see all the awesome stuff, history and culture in our back yard, thank you to the organizers and businesses for your wonderful hospitality. #mygeeroadtrip2020 ” [Michelle Rouleau]
“Roadtrip Adventure Day!!! Today we did the GO EAST of Edmonton Daytrips & Getaways Southeast of Edmonton leg, backwards, starting in Lloydminster! It was fun to hit up different towns and try new things! #roadtrip #summer #holidays #mygeeroadtrip2020 #goeastofedmonton #gowestoflloydminster ” [Pam Herman]
“Roadtrip board game completed!
Our original plan was to go visit the roadside attractions (Giant things / world’s largest) when I saw this game, and thought we can easily go to these nearby towns with our itinerary. We completed the game in 4 days total. The sticker game gave us the “amazing race” feel, trying to race through time before the next sticker station (pitstop) closes . It has been fun exploring the towns on the east of Edmonton. We’ve been hearing about the names of these towns, so it was great to “put a face to a name”. #mygeeroadtrip2020 #goeastofedmonton” [pinkfour]
“Why did we do all this driving and photographing? For the stickers!! #GoEastofEdmonton gave us an awesome challenge, and we did it! We got every single one, and made some sweet memories along the way. This was a great way to stay safe and distanced while exploring the province we live in. #MyGEERoadTrip2020 ” [upstephanie]
“Really enjoyed the water, and the playground. It’s really awesome that there are some outdoor workout equipments in here as well! Wish our park had these #mygeeroadtrip2020 #goeastofedmonton #visitathabasca ” [pinkfour]
“We spent a few days getting to know our beautiful and wonderful #Alberta. Thanks to the #GoEastOfEdmonton page for the challenge to visit all these communities and get the stickers! We made it our mission to take family photos everywhere we could. #MyGEERoadTrip2020
First stop: ” [upstephanie]
