Discover Tofield’s Past and Natural Beauty
Why Go?
Step into Alberta’s past at the Tofield Museum, where history and nature come together. Operated by the dedicated Tofield Historical Society, the museum takes you through time, from early Indigenous settlements and pioneer life to the growth of farming, schools, and local businesses. Inside, you can see exhibits on farming, rural medicine, churches, and schools that shaped the community. Nature lovers will enjoy the displays on nearby Beaverhill Lake, a great spot for birdwatching and outdoor activities. What’s Unique?
The Tofield Museum was founded in 1961 and moved into a modern, bright building in 1996. It’s more than just a collection of artifacts – it celebrates the community’s roots. The museum mixes history, art, and nature, with rotating art exhibits by local artists and a tourist information centre for planning your visit. Its mix of historical and ecological displays makes it a rare place to explore both the human story and the natural beauty of Beaverhill Lake.Open: June – Aug Tues-Sat. 10 – 5 pm
