Metis Crossing Moccasin Workshop

Join us for a two-day Métis Moccasin Making Workshop, where you’ll learn traditional hand-sewing techniques to create your own custom pattern for plain moccasins. Using authentic materials, you’ll create a functional and comfortable pair of moccasins. Beading is not included. All materials are provided, and the workshop is led by a Traditional Teacher and Knowledge Holder. By the end of the weekend, you’ll have a personalized, hand-made pair of moccasins ready to wear.

The Métis moccasins are typically made of home-tanned hide and are still worn today by many Métis people as a traditional and functional footwear.
