Metis Crossing Rosary Workshop
During the workshop, participants will learn about the cultural and spiritual significance of the Métis rosary as a traditional prayer tool, and the traditional materials used to make rosaries, such as porcupine quills, sweetgrass, and traditional beads made of bone or shell. Silverberry (wolf willow) beads will be used to construct your Métis rosary.
Silverberries, also known as wolf-willow berries, are traditionally used to make beautiful natural rosaries by Métis people of the Canadian Prairies.
