With the nice weather upon us, spray parks are set to a great way to cool off. There are more than 25 great spots across the Region – check them out this summer! Hours of operation are subject to change, please check the website of the municipality for the park you are looking to visit.

Northeast of Edmonton

Highway 55

Athabasca

Athabasca Riverfront Park
Address: 50 Ave

A great day of fun is in store for visitors to the Spray Park and playground. Bring a swimsuit, towel and a picnic. After an awesome play, cool off in the spray park.

Opened in late 2007, Riverfront Park includes a spray park donated by the Athabasca Rotary Club. Other amenities include a skateboard park donated by the Athabasca Skateboard Association, a playground donated by the Athabasca Lion’s Club and outdoor fitness equipment also donated by Athabasca Rotary Club,

Picnic tables and benches placed along the walk make an ideal stopping place for nature appreciation or a lunch break. Parking is plentiful, and access is ideal for campers and RVs. Enjoy the plant beds of local shrubs, wildflowers, and boreal trees.

Boyle

Boyle Spray Park

Outdoor spray park operated during the summer months. Washroom is available for public use.

Lac La Biche

Paul Richard Memorial Spray Park
Address: McArthur Park at Churchill Drive and 100 St

This spray park, free for the public to access, is open from late May to early September. It was built in part through donations to remember its namesake, an area businessman. Everyone can splash around with views of Lake Lac La Biche to enjoy.

Cold Lake

 Splash Park
Address: Timberline Drive

Between mid-May and end-September of each year, keep your children busy and bring them to the Kinosoo Beach Spray Park.  There is also a sandy beach, beach volleyball and basketball courts, floating docks, zipline, full-service concession and walking paths for you to enjoy to make it a great day adventure.

Highway 28

Gibbons

Poplar Park
Address: Poplar Drive

This park is home to a spray park, and other facilities including tennis courts, basketball courts, a picnic area and play structures for pre-teens. It’s open seasonally from the long weekend in May until the long weekend in September.

Smoky Lake

Smoky Lake Spray Park
Address: 54 Avenue

Bring the kids out for a fun day at the spray park. The season begins on the May long weekend and ends Labour Day weekend in September. Park is open daily with public washrooms open Monday- Friday.

St. Paul

Lagasse Park
Address: 47 Street & Lakeshore Dr.

Overlooking Upper Thérien Lake, this park also has a few different places to have lunch, great play centres and fire pits available for all-day fun.

Westcove Campground at Vincent Lake

In addition to the spray park, there are trails to explore, four playgrounds, and loonie showers. Admission: $3.00 per person per day.

Bonnyville

Bonnyville Splash Park
Address: 4100 Lakeshore Drive

Located adjacent to the Jessie Lake trail, this spray park is popular to cool down after an adventure. Picnic tables available.

Elk Point

Elk Point Water Spray Park
Address:  5502 – 51 Street

The water park usually opens around May long weekend and closes before October 31. (dependent on weather). This is a GREAT way for families of all ages to enjoy a day in the summer sun! Each component is motion-activated and will not spray when it is not in use. To turn on the water, wave your hands in front of the flower and the water will start spraying. There is a timer system that controls the water activation, which cannot be activated outside the designated park hours, which are 7 days a week.

Fort Saskatchewan

Kin Family Spray Park
Address: 95A Ave Westpark Drive

Easily accessible, the Kin Family Spray Park features fun animal-themed spray toys which are a big hit with the kids! The spray park has 20 acres of green space and also features baseball diamonds, soccer pitches, a playground and sand play area, a basketball surface and beautiful winding trails. There is ample parking close by and washrooms next to Spray Park. The spray park is turned on after the May long weekend up until mid-September (weather permitting). This attraction is a draw for the whole family and admission is free!

Lamont

Hillside Park
Address: 50 Street & 58 Avenue

Hillside Park features a spray park as an extra feature while you enjoy a fun, family-filled picnic day. A Picnic Pavilion is available for rent and has a large covered picnic area with picnic tables, BBQ’s and kitchen area. To book this area contact the Town Office. Walking Trails throughout the park provide a view of the fountain and Mallards Landing Platform.

Mundare

Quentin Warawa Memorial Park

With close to 20 spray features, the kids will love the variety! Free for members of the general public. The park is open until September 22.

Marwayne –

Brand new spray park located at Westview Park. Hours of operation 10am to 8pm daily, unless there is a water restriction in place.

Sherwood Park

Broadmoor Lake Re/Max Spray Park
Address: 2015 Oak Street

The spray park and playground at Broadmoor Lake Park features innovative play structures for children all the way up to 15 years old. RE/MAX Spray Park is open May Long weekend to September Labour Day weekend).

Brentwood Spray Deck

Brentwood Spray Deck is open on days when the temperature is at least 20°C in the afternoon hours. Located on the Brentwood School grounds, on Falcon Drive between Greenwood Way and Lark Street.

Clover Bar Ranch Park
Address: 875 Jim Common Drive North

Clover Bar Ranch Park is open May long, weather dependent to September Labour Day weekend. The water features are open daily, regardless of the temperature. The spray deck is open during the summer months and remains open in the fall weather permitting. The park includes a playground, sports field and spray deck with 12 water features. The Clover Bar Ranch Spray Deck does not require a volunteer to be turned on. To turn on the water, push the button on the blue post on the north side of the spray deck (closest to the playground). Located at Jim Common Drive North and Canyon Drive.

Granville Park & Spray Deck

🧒Granville Spray Deck is open on days when the temperature is at least 20°C in the afternoon hours. Definitely a great way to beat the summer heat. Located on Glamorgan Drive East (in Lollypop Park near Glen Allan School) and accessible from Granville Crescent or Glamorgan Drive. Spray decks will be turned on and off by Strathcona County operations staff.

Kinsmen/Westboro Park

Kinsmen / Westboro Spray Deck is open on days when the temperature is at least 20°C during the afternoon hours. Located on Strathcona Drive S (West of Broadmoor Boulevard, at the Strathcona Drive and Keith Road intersection).

Woodbridge Spray Deck

Woodbridge Spray Deck is open on days when the temperature is at least 20°C in the afternoon hours and is located on the West side of Woodbridge Way (between Parker Drive and Wells Point Lane.

Summerton Spray Deck
Address: 11 Summerfield Wynd, Summerfield Wynd and Summerland Way

The water features are open daily, regardless of the temperature. The spray deck is open during the summer months and remains open in the fall weather permitting. The park includes a playground and spray deck with 13 water features.  To turn on the water, push the button on the pink post, on the north side of the spray deck (furthest from the playground. (The Summerton Spray Deck does not require a volunteer to be turned on.) Open to September Labour Day weekend.

Ardrossan

ArrKann Spray Park

This spray park and playground is located in the Ardrossan Regional Park and features a recirculating water system that collects treats, and reuses the water. Open to September Labour Day weekend. Located behind the Ardrossan Recreation Complex at 80-1 Avenue, Ardrossan.

Lions Club Spray Park

With lots of different activities, this park offers a lot for kids to just play – a favourite is a pirate ship. Additional amenities include green space, a day-use picnic area and a playground.

Vermilion

Vermilion Provincial Park Spray Park
Address: Beckie Scott Trail (Vermilion Provincial Park)

The Splash Park is a summertime favourite for all ages to cool down! There are many benches nearby that are perfect for watching the water fun from the sidelines. The sprat park is located within the Vermilion Provincial Park and was added to the Park in 2014.

Lloydminster

Bud Miller All Season Park
Address: 2902 – 59 Avenue

Measuring approximately 540 square metres in size, the spray park in Bud Miller All Seasons Park is located south of the PSM Lawyers Park Centre. Featuring innovative water-play components, the spray park offers a barrier-free environment that is accessible to children of all mobility ranges.

To activate the Spray Park, tap on one of the three activators located in the spray park. One is orange and yellow, the other is red and yellow and there is one on the ground, which is red and white.

Throughout the summer months, the spray park is available to members of the public.

Rotary Splash Park

Featuring unique designs, the splash park is open daily throughout the season, with change rooms available on site. To activate the Splash Park during that time, tap the top of the yellow or blue post.

Camrose

Rudy Swanson Park

Sedgewick

Sedgewick Lake Park

Open for three years, the Battle River Splash Zone is a local favourite to soak up summer and splash around. Additional amenities include family-focused camping with single and group spots, as well as, two mini-cabins for rent. Annual and drop-in pass available, registered campers’ access is free.
