Strathcona County Family Day

This Family Day, Monday, February 16, 2026, residents can make a difference in the lives of community members by visiting Strathcona County recreation facilities. Additional recreation activities, beyond regularly scheduled programming, will be offered at County facilities on February 16. One hundred per cent of admission fees collected on Family Day will support the Everybody gets to play™ program, which helps families with limited income access recreation and culture services in the community. From February 9–16, 2026, local businesses are also giving back: Pasta Pantry will donate $1 from each signature dish sold, and Sherwood Park Panago Pizza locations on Baseline Road and Wye Road will donate $1 from every large pizza sold to Everybody Gets to play™.

Local businesses can further support the program through the February corporate funding drive, with donations of $100, $250, $500 or more. Donations are eligible for a tax receipt.

Everybody gets to play™ provides eligible residents with no-cost drop-in recreation opportunities (Active Pass+), and reduced-fee registered recreation and culture programs through the Recreation Access Program (RAP). The program aims to increase access to recreation and culture services and create more affordable options for County residents. Strathcona County thanks Air Products – the founding sponsor of Everybody gets to play™ – and all who support this important initiative.
