Opening remarks, prayers, introductions and speakers

Elders share their legacy and lived experiences in attending Residential schools.

Join us in honouring the legacy of Residential Schools, survivors alongside AHS + Elk Point schools + community. The day concludes with soup and bannock at the long-term care facility.
Location: Southeast side of the long-term care facility. Females must wear long skirts.

Please join us on September 29 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to recognize, honour, and build capacity for the Nationally recognized day of Truth and Reconciliation at Elk Point’s long-term facility, located in the courtyard.

9:00am | Pipe Ceremony

9:45 – 10:00 am | Coffee, Tea, Donuts

10:00 am – 11:30 am | Knowledge Sharing

11:30 am – 12:00 pm | Honour Walk with EP Schools

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm | Free Community Lunch

All females must wear long skirts for the pipe ceremony. Please dress appropriately for the weather,  as all activities will be outdoors. Please wear orange T-shirts if possible.
