Metis Crossing Traditional Pucker-Toe Moccasins Workshop

Join for a 2 ½ day Métis handcrafted moccasin workshop, where you’ll learn traditional hand-sewing techniques and be given a custom pattern for constructing a pair of pucker-toe moccasins. Using authentic materials, you’ll learn basic beading or embroidery on the moccasin vamps (top), and create a pair of moccasins unique to you. All materials are provided, and the workshop is led by a Traditional Teacher and Knowledge Holder. By the end of the weekend, you’ll have a personalized, hand-made pair of pucker-toe moccasins ready to wear.

Length of Program: 1 evening and 2 full days

Designed for adults and youth ages 10 and up.

Limited to 12 participants to ensure a small-group and hands-on learning experience.
