Metis Crossing Truth and Reconciliation Event

Start the evening with an opening prayer and listen to the stories of resilience from intergenerational survivors of residential schools. Hear the voices of youth as they read survivor stories from ‘Métis Memories of Residential Schools.’

Join us in a Healing and Hope Ceremony led by a Métis Knowledge Holder, where you can tie ribbons onto a dedicated ‘Residential School Healing Tree’ on the Métis Crossing grounds.

Conclude the evening with Indigenous-inspired cuisine and traditional live music and dance, celebrating the resilience and vibrancy of the Métis community.

Please note, that some parts of the events program are scheduled to take place outdoors. Admission and dinner service are both free.
