We regret to announce that, due to extreme weather conditions, we have been forced to cancel our farmers market, scheduled for April 25th. This decision was not made lightly, but with the safety of our staff, vendors, and guests in mind. We remain excited to welcome you back to the village for our next farmers market on June 28th. The Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society is excited to announce the Ukrainian Village Farmer’s Market, a new Alberta-approved farmers’ market at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village!
Our first farmers’ market will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coordinated by the Friends of the Ukrainian Village Society, this farmers’ market will take place at the Silska Domiwka (Red Barn) on its new outdoor patio. We invite all to come browse a variety of market vendors on our outdoor heated patio, enjoy some lunch from the Kalyna Kitchen, and experience live Ukrainian music. We look forward to welcoming you to our opening market!
Important note: As this farmers’ market takes place before the 2026 summer season, the Silska Domiwka will be the only building open on this day. The remainder of the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, including all historic buildings, will be closed until the site reopens in May. There will be no admission charge to enter the market, nor any access to the historic areas of the site.
