Capotes are Métis coats that were traditionally handmade from wool blankets. They are light but warm and somewhat water-repellent. Participants will make their own coat, personalized with pockets and optional décor. With nothing more than a wool blanket, some yarn and a needle and a couple of basic stitches you will be stylish in your own Capote.
