Held in and around Cold Lake, Alberta – this three-day festival takes place during the Alberta Family Day long weekend – Feb. 16-18, 2019.

On Saturday, February 16th, the action starts at the Municipal District of Bonnyville’s Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort. In addition to the usual ski, snowboard and tubing activities, there will be a number of other events happening at ‘the Ridge’ (as locals like to call it). World-class snowboarder Craig McMorris will be leading a snowboard camp, and Jeremy Fisher Jr. will be in the chalet for a kids’ sing-along. Switch snow vibes for beach vibes during Visionary Entertainment’s Moana Theatrical Show, try out a Norco Fat Bike, and get ready to move with the godfather of PowWowStep, DJ Shub. The Moontricks close out the day at the hill (this will be in the chalet).

Didn’t get to hear the music? Hit up Snow Fever After Dark at the Grande Parlour in downtown Cold Lake for an awesome evening of live entertainment.

Also on Feb. 16th, the Cold Lake Snowmobile Club will be hosting the SSRA Straightline Snowmobile drag races at the Cold Lake Agriplex.

Another Fun activity you’ll want to pencil in….

Grab three of your friends, your hockey gear and get ready to hit the ice at the Energy Centre on Sun., Feb. 17. The City of Cold Lake’s free annual three-on-three pond hockey tourney is on, and bragging rights are up for grabs! Sign a team up by calling 780-639-6400. Not into hockey? That’s okay. Take the time to hop on a horse-drawn sleigh, at the Energy Centre as well. Remember to bring an appetite – s’mores over a bonfire are on the menu. Come back after dark – we’ll be ending the day with some rare winter fireworks!

On Family Day – Monday, February 18th, head over to 4 Wing Cold Lake for a bouncing good time where 4 Wing Connection is hosting a Bounce House festival in the gym at the Col. JJ Parr Sport Centre. Get in touch with your creative side, and make a cool craft! Want to spend some time outside?
