Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre

The Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre (C2) is a sports, fitness, recreation and entertainment complex, and the hub of the community.

BONNYVILLE Attractions & Events

A statue of Angus Shaw, a late 1700s fur trader and explorer, stands guard at the Bonnyville & District Museum, where you can relive the adventures and witness the hardships of life in the fur trade.

In June, the Pro Rodeo & Chuckwagon Races — and while you're visiting, take in the popular town-wide garage sale. Plan to return for Bonnyville’s fantastic Canada Day Celebration on July 1. For more racing excitement, don't miss the Bonnyville Gear Grabbers Drag Races in July.

Head north of Ardmore to Treasures of Yesterday, and mark your calendar for the annual Antique Week event in July. In August, visit farms and explore attractions across Alberta’s Lakeland and around Bonnyville during Lakeland Open Farm Days. Come September, stop by Charlotte Lake Farms for their U-pick Pumpkin Patch.

The Strathcona Performing Arts Centre (SPAC) is a 340-seat, state-of-the-art theatre located at 4808-49 Street, Bonnyville. More than just a venue, the SPAC is a vibrant hub for arts and culture, dedicated to enriching the lives of the community and visitors alike. Enjoy a diverse range of captivating theatrical

Outdoors

Experience the ultimate shower for your kids at the Splash Park, located at 4100 Lakeshore Drive. Reserve a tee time and enjoy a round of golf at the Bonnyville Golf & Country Club. Immerse yourself in nature by birdwatching at Jessie Lake, where you can spot a variety of beautiful shorebirds and songbirds, such as Great Blue Herons, cranes, ducks, and eagles. Enhance your visit with viewing platforms and a scenic 10 km interpretive trail. The walking trail now includes a Fitness Trail and Outdoor Gym.

On the west side of Bonnyville you can camp at the Vezeau Beach M.D. Campground. Next door is the M.D. of Bonnyville Visitor Information and Interpretive Centre, located in the Shaw House. It is adjacent to the recently constructed dual-vehicle boat launch and 15-slip dock. Pick up a souvenir by local artisans in the Trading Post or kick back and relax on the deck overlooking Moose Lake while enjoying a coffee or ice cream. Take the kids to the jumping pillow by the playground — it’s a great place to soak up some sun and fun! Have a bike? Take a hike! The Shaw House is the hub of the M.D.’s Moose Lake trail system. #TakeItToTheLake in the M.D. of Bonnyville, which operates 12 campgrounds in the Bonnyville and Cold Lake Region, including Chicken Hill Lake, Moose Lake and Muriel Lake - all within 20 minutes of town. Be sure to bring your toys and enjoy some family fun. Pelican Point M.D. Park is now ATV-friendly! Bring your quad or side-by-side for a trip full of exploring and fun.
