Edgerton Crazy Muley Ultra 2026

Welcome to Alberta’s only dune 50K/25km-ish race!

It’s our 5th anniversary!! Come out and enjoy our celebration.

New this year will be the 25K-ish 2-man team race. It’s a great chance to be part of Crazy Muley Ultra and get your feet sandy, but not commit to the longer distances. It will be the same 25K-ish course, but teams will switch out at AS#1. The distances are about 16K and 11K.

Crazy Muley Ultra will start/finish at the Sand Dune Liquor Store parking lot in Edgerton, Alberta. Each course will be one loop, and you will enjoy a hilly course that takes you through sand dune complexes. The course will be a mixture of single track, quad trails and roads (some pavement and gravel). It will be marked with pink/blue (depending on distance) Wainwright Runners pin flags.

This course is meant to show off our local region and unique landscapes. Be prepared to be challenged on non-stop rolling hills, loose sand and little to no shade. Both courses will be 1 loop with both races sharing the first half of the race before splitting off on their own loops. We will have 2 main AS for the 50Km and 1 for the 25km-ish with several water stations to assist in getting you to the finish.

To allow everyone to have fun and enjoy the area, we are finishing at a bar to keep you motivated! The cutoff will be generous, with 12 hours for the 50K and 6 hours for the 25K.

We want you to enjoy our local area, so stay for discounted beers and meal specials after you finish or cheer on our runners.

To help us with looking after this unique area, the race will be cupless, so please bring your own reusable one.

Wainwright Runners has a zero tolerance policy for any physical or verbal abuse to any racers, volunteers or race staff. Also, have the right to not allow racers with past issues.
