Sherwood Park

Bordering Edmonton city limits, Sherwood Park offers plenty to see as you travel east from the capital. History enthusiasts can explore Sherwood Park’s Heritage Mile, featuring a street predating Sherwood Park’s existence. The Strathcona County Museum and Archives exhibit rotating displays reflecting the area’s rich history. Enjoy the outdoors at Broadmoor Lake Park, golf at Broadmoor Public Golf Course. Millennium Place offers indoor family and sports activities. Shoppers can explore ten major plazas and boutique gems like Real Spirit Women’s Boutique and JACEK Chocolate Couture. Indulge your taste buds at Barr Estate Winery, Roasti Coffee Co., Branches Fresh Food, or Confetti Sweets. For a blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment, Sherwood Park Mall awaits, housing Country Chic with over 70 local vendors. Cap off your day at Ramada Sherwood Park, where complimentary breakfast and wifi await.

Strathcona County

Beyond Sherwood Park, adventure awaits in Strathcona County. Take the kids to any of the eight spray parks in the County. Visit the Strathcona Wilderness Centre and create your own outdoor adventure.  Nearby, you can find unique culinary farm experiences at Bar OA Farms. Experience the Beaver Hills Biosphere for a unique nature-based outdoor opportunity. Travel through Strathcona County and visit the eight rural hamlets, each with its own distinctive rural characteristics.  Shop local at the Sherwood Park Farmer’s Market every Wednesday at Emerald Hills from 3-7 pm. Visit the Strathcona County events page for a schedule and details of events being held throughout the county.

Lamont County

Lamont County is known at the Church Capital of North America with over 40 historical churches.  It’s also home to the incredible Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, which is also a Sticker Station this year.  You can also roam to nearby Elk Island National Park for excellent outdoor adventures there.

Town of Mundare

Heading down Highway 16, take a 2 minute detour to the Town of Mundare. Here you will find the World’s Largest Sausage standing at 42 feet high. The sausage replica was built by the Stawnichy family in 2001. Stop by the Stawnichy Mundare Sausage store to stock your cooler with sausage, along with other Ukrainian foods and goodies. Picnic, play or stay at the Ukraina Park and learn more about Ukrainian heritage and history at the Basilian Fathers Museum.  On main street visit the Mundare Bakery for some fresh baked goods, or try one of their island-inspired meals using authentic Jamaican spices and recipes to tantilize your tastebuds.  A couple doors down is Baba’s Bistro.  Stop in for a delicious home cooked meal or a yummy dessert and grab your sticker!

Town of Vegreville

Hop back on Hwy 16 and head east for the short drive to Vegreville.  A must see and selfie stop is the World’s Largest Pysanka (Ukrainian Easter Egg) at the Elks/Kinsmen Park. While there go for a free paddle boat ride!  Join the Vegreville Agricultural Society for the Country Fair August 7-11, plus their weekly Pysanka Park Market, held each Thursday evening.  There is no shortage of shops to explore in Vegreville, offering a wide variety of goods and services. Located on main street, Vegreville Natural Health Centre will provide you with knowledge and advice regarding supplements and other natural health care products.  For great gift ideas, stop at Vegtel Engraving Ltd, and Vegreville Drug Mart. Visit Envy Boutique to see their selection of women’s clothing and accessories.  Get yourself looking and feeling your best!  Men can find quality footwear and apparel at Sole Train.  Need to stock the RV? Prime Cuts Meats & Deli has sausage, kubby patties and other cuts of meat for the barbecue. Village of Mannville

Heading east of Vegreville on Hwy 16 for approximately forty minutes will bring you to the Village of Mannville, home to the first AGT building in Northern Alberta, now the Mannville Historical Telephone Exchange Museum. Golf and stay at the highly rated Mannville Riverview Golf & RV Resort, winding across the Vermilion River. Or park your RV at the Mannville RV Park, which is home to 60 fully serviced sites.  Looking for unique shops? Look no further than Crocus Coulee Reworn, where used women’s clothing is upcycled into one-of-a-kind pieces and items. Town of Vermilion

Located at the junction of Hwy 16 and Hwy 41, 15 minutes east of Mannville. Whether you are looking for outdoor adventure, shopping, dining or staying in the region, Vermilion has exactly what you are looking for. Visit the Vermilion Heritage Museum located in a historic school with seven galleries and two display buildings, its a step back in time. If you are looking for outdoor activities, camp and explore at Vermilion Provincial Park. Stop at Burnt Rock Adventure Co. for outdoor products to enhance your adventurous and active lifestyle. Unique shops are abundant in Vermilion. Stop at Night Owl Sweets & Treats for something special for the kids. Take some time to relax at Lighten Up Shop.  Craig’s Cornerstone downtown is home to a unique variety of six must-see shops, all under one roof! Dine at The Red Brick Café or taste locally, handcrafted spirits at Copper Cork Distillery.

Village of Kitscoty

Travel 15 minutes south of Marwayne to Hwy 16 and the Village of Kitscoty. This village was named after a famous cromlech, or burial chamber – three large stones in a tripod arrangement – found near a settlement in England known as Kits’ Coty House. You will find a miniature replica of the cromlech in front of the Village Office and underneath the water tower. Take a stroll through Heritage Park, where you can view over 100 varieties of lilacs and plaques honoring the pioneer spirit of the community. Kitscoty Regional Park Campground offers beautifully treed sites with power, nestled between the golf course and the ball diamonds. Play a round of golf at the Kitscoty Golf Club, where you will not find sand traps, but sand greens. Give yourself plenty of time to browse through all of the local crafts and products at Farmstead Market & More – definitely worth the roadtrip.

Highway 15 & 45 (Blue Section)

City of Fort Saskatchewan

Located north of Strathcona County, the City of Fort Saskatchewan offers a unique blend of urban amenities and small-town warmth. Downtown, you’ll discover the Fort Heritage Precinct, showcasing the history of the North West Mounted Police. The area has plenty of green space to relax or enjoy the city’s events and festivals. In Fort Saskatchewan, dining options abound, with  Perry’s 2 for 1 Pizza as a popular choice among locals and visitors alike. Fort Lion’s Campground, nestled along the river valley, is an ideal spot for a restful overnight or longer.  For beautiful art and gifts Dreamcatchers Gift & Art Gallery is a must-visit for authentic Indigenous items.

Town of Bruderheim

Head east from Fort Saskatchewan on Highway 15, then north, to find the Town of Bruderheim. This is the home of the Bruderheim Meteorite – the largest recovered meteorite fall in Canada. A piece of the meteorite is displayed in a showcase at Bruderheim Firehall. Plan to visit Old Walker School – it was a four-room schoolhouse built in 1908 of birch veneer that served until 1927, when it was destroyed by fire. A new school was built, which is now a museum and a designated Provincial Historic Resource. Bruderheim has plenty of outdoor opportunities, including the Bruderheim Heritage Trail, Cosmic Skatepark, Spring Creek Wetland Interpretive Centre and Queen’s Park. Bruderheim Starlight Campground offers twenty four full service camping sites.

Town of Lamont

Just 10 minutes east of Bruderheim, you will find the Town of Lamont, which offers a full range of services and amenities. Check out the new Tawaw Park! Plus, Hillside Park offers a chance to cool down at the spray park or have a picnic at the playground. Relax and enjoy some fishing at the Lamont Fish Pond, home to trout which are restocked each spring. If you are looking for unique gifts and treasures to take home with you, stop and shop at Elk Island Thrift Store or Lamont Home Hardware. Plan your overnight stay at Lamont Days Inn.

Village of Andrew

From Lamont, head east on Hwy 29 then head north on Highway 855 and you will enter the Village of Andrew.  Another photo opportunity awaits as you pose with the World’s Largest Mallard. Bring your binoculars to the designated wildlife viewing areas south and east of town. Visit the Andrew Museum to explore the town’s history. Plan your visit for a Saturday afternoon, so you do not miss the Andrew Farmers’ Market. Then head to the Duck Stop for some regular or glow bowling. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the baseball diamond, skateboard park and the fully services Centennial RV Park.  Stop in for a reved up drink and a bite to eat at Unwind Bar & GrillAndrew’s Original Pizza & Pasta is ready to serve you with your next fabulous meal as well as your sticker!

Town of Two Hills

Take Hwy 45 to Two Hills, positioned thirty minutes east of Andrew. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the rich history of this community, once settled by European pioneers. Today, it boasts a vibrant cultural fusion, with many Mennonite families from Mexico infusing local dining and shopping spots with their unique flair. Explore Pioneer Park, adorned with bronze statues commemorating local pioneers, and delve into the past at the Two Hills Historical Society outdoor museum, showcasing artifacts used by early settlers. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Lions Golf & Country Club offers ample recreational opportunities. And if you’re seeking a serene retreat, camp at DM Geleta Park, where you can indulge in a leisurely picnic amidst picturesque surroundings.

Village of Myrnam

Head twenty five minutes east to the community of Myrnam for a variety of family recreation opportunities. Visit beautiful Dove Park and take some time to relax in the peaceful atmosphere. Stop by the miniature and life-size Ukrainian Catholic Church, a popular roadside attraction. Enjoy golf at the Myrnam/Derwent Golf Club. Camp at the golf course or head to Jackfish Lake Campground. Check out Sentimental Salvage & Design, a creative furniture, art and home décor boutique, as well as a do-it-yourself projects studio. Myrnam Convenience Store will satisfy your hunger and provide you with your gameboard sticker.

Hamlet of Clandonald

The hamlet of Clandonald, known as a ‘little hamlet with lots of heart’, is located thirty minutes east of Myrnam. Start your journey at the Clandonald Country Store, where you can pick up your sticker and browse through a variety of groceries and unique gift items. The agricultural grounds host numerous social functions, providing a vibrant atmosphere for locals and tourists alike. Additionally, RV enthusiasts can take advantage of the available RV sites and dumping station, while sports enthusiasts can enjoy activities at the nearby ball diamond. For those interested in outdoor recreation, the Clandonald Fish & Game Association operates a gun range, catering to the interests of hunting and shooting enthusiasts. Furthermore, Rusylvia Hall offers additional campsites, a playground, and more ball diamonds, providing ample opportunities for outdoor fun just a short distance away. Whether you’re seeking relaxation or adventure, Clandonald and its surrounding areas offer something for everyone.

Village of Marwayne

A road trip east of Edmonton is not complete without a stop in the community of Marwayne. You will be greeted by the friendly, small town atmosphere while enjoying the picturesque location. Shop, eat, and stay in this unique Alberta village. Businesses include the Historic Marwayne Hotel,  No Need to Nock Kat Traks Sweet Shop, Home Hardware and Marwayne Liquor Store.  Or head north of town to the Lea Park Regional Campground & Cabins for your stay.
