We’re featuring just a few of the events in the region, but you can access many more in our events calendar.

Festive Events

November 15-17 Lloydminster – Lloydminster Christmas Craft Fair & Chamber Expo
The Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 36th Annual Christmas Craft Fair & Chamber Expo. This is the largest Christmas market in the Midwest boasting over 350 booths including handmade crafts, businesses, antiques, and food court!

November 16 Vegreville Christmas Arts and Crafts Sale,  and Vegreville Annual Home & Business Makers Market
It’s a full weekend of shopping in Vegreville from crafts, gifts, art and more, you’re guaranteed to find something for everyone! Plus, don’t miss A Very Vegreville Christmas on November 29th complete with a Parade and Santa!

November 16-17 Art Society of Strathcona Christmas Marketplace
The biggest shopping event of the year! With unique gifts, stocking stuffers, and more! Held at the A.J. Ottewell Centre.

November 16 – Wainwright Jingle Mingle
Shop all day in downtown Wainwright, then enjoy the Light Up at 5 pm.

November 17 Daysland Christmas in the Country
Celebrate Christmas in Daysland with photos with the grinch, shopping, food, and more!

November 21-24 Lac La Biche  Festival of Trees and Shopping Extravaganza
Attending the Festival of Trees is FREE! Instead, we kindly ask you to bring a non-perishable food item, new or gently used warm clothing, an unwrapped toy or stuffed animal or monetary donation. Plus, don’t miss the 3 day Farmers Market.

November 23rd-December 23rd – Prairie Gardens: Breakfast With Santa & Winter Wonderland
Prairie Gardens Adventure Farm is excited to bring you Prairie Christmas Events, happening from mid-November to mid-December! Breakfast with Santa: Make farm-to-table breakfast with Santa your new family tradition. Bring the kids to visit Santa at his sleigh and enjoy a festive holiday brunch! November 24 – Andrew Christmas Market
Shop all your Christmas needs at the Andrew Community Centre with over 40 vendors!

November 24, December 5, December 19 – Boyle Christmas Markets
Shop all of your Christmas needs at the Boyle Community Centre!

November 29  – Camrose Midnight Madness
Bring the whole family and enjoy a festive evening with carollers, wagon rides, scavenger hunts, and more! There are also unique shopping items and plenty of other activities from 6 pm – 12:00 am.

November 29 – Fort Saskatchewan Enchanted Forest
The Enchanted Forest is a favourite holiday tradition in Fort Saskatchewan. Local organizations and businesses create unique, beautiful, and fun Christmas trees that represent them and reflect the holiday season.

November 29 – Hardisty Christmas Market
Shop for the best Christmas Gifts at the Hardisty Community Hall!

November 29 – Radway Christmas Market
Check out Vendors with stuff for the entire family and come meet Santa!

November 29  – Forestburg Light Up The Night
Enjoy an evening of hot dogs, hot chocolate, sleigh rides, Battle River Train Rides, Santa Claus, Tree Lighting and more. Plus don’t miss their Christmas Market on the 30th with over 30 vendors.

November 30 – Strathcona County – Christmas in the Heartland
Christmas in the Heartland is a driving tour of unique rural venues steeped in tradition. Local halls and churches will be filled with artisans and crafters, ice carvings, nativity displays, sleigh rides, holiday music and more.

Honouring Indigenous Veterans Day at Métis Crossing – Friday November 8 at 1 pm
We are welcoming everyone to join us for a heartfelt ceremony to honour Indigenous veterans who served Canada in times of war Conflict and peace.

Capote Making Workshop on November 16 & 17, 2024. This two day immersive experience offers the opportunity to create a traditional Métis capote—a beautiful, woollen winter coat with cultural significance. Register in advance.

Metis Crossing Holiday Market – Saturday November 23
This event is FREE to the public and promises to be a vibrant celebration of indigenous artisans and local vendors. From handmade jewelry and unique artwork to bath products and crafts; there’s something for everyone!
