We hope the biggest souvenir from your trip to Camrose is your memories and photographs. But, it’s often nice to buy yourself or someone else an item that is unique to where you visited. In Camrose, you’ll have several options to help you in finding that perfect keepsake or memory.

Camrose and its local shops are also a more peaceful alternative to city shopping and can add a bit of relaxation to browsing shelves, meeting owners, and learning about their offerings. Here are a few unique places to shop next time you’re in or around town!

Twig Boutique

If your idea of a treat is a new pair of shoes, a stylish coat, or a piece of jewelry for yourself, Twig Boutique can help you Treat Yourself! This trendy boutique shop in the centre of downtown carries a wide selection of women’s fashion, household items, décor, and self-care products, games, and locally made treats.

While Twig focuses on women’s fashion and carries some stunning pieces, it is a stop on your shopping trip for all. The local handmade goods range from sweets, hot sauces, tea, kitchen décor, and live plants.

Souvenir recommendation: A puzzle

Twig’s puzzles are unique, colourful, and appear to be quite a challenge with 500- and 1000-piece options. Choose from the plain old fun and silly puzzles like marshmallows and cats in space, or a more decorative puzzle you can hang after you’ve finished it.

Kaoz Kids

Kaoz can dress all your kids and make sure they are as cozy as possible. While Kaoz offers kids’ clothing for all types of occasions and in all kids’ sizes, their biggest brand is LazyOne and their collection of comfy slippers, PJs, onesies, and socks. These adorable outfits are uniquely Canadian and feature the cutest puns with the cutest animal characters. Kaoz is also the only place in Camrose to purchase diamond paintings and the tools to create your own diamond painting

Souvenir recommendation: fun accessories

If you’d like to find something small, something funny, and something inexpensive for your kids to take home with them, the Kaoz accessory selection offers a few different options. You and your kids will get a kick out of reading the pen sets, key chains, and face masks.

Lakehouse Naturals Soap Company

As you move your shopping down Main street, you might catch a whiff of something wonderful. That wonderful smell you’ve caught will lead you inside the Lakehouse Naturals Soap Company, where you could spend hours testing all the natural fragrances. Lakehouse offers a wide variety of bath and body products that yes, smell great, but also are made by hand with natural ingredients, and are cruelty-free. The all-natural soap company can certainly provide relaxation after your trip with their collection of bath bombs, or all the essentials like soap, hair care, oral care, and candles.

Souvenir recommendation: Gift baskets

This will ensure you and your family can try a bit of everything from Lakehouse Naturals. Choose from baskets made for one, two, or three people, then split the goods among your household after your trip!

Buckskins Emporium

After you made your way through the shops and boutiques of Main street or downtown Camrose, head north on Highway-21 for about 10-minutes out of town. Waiting for you is a unique shopping experience complete with beautiful surroundings (look for the large and bright red barn!). Buckskins Emporium is situated on a pretty acreage and offers all sorts of locally hand-crafted gifts- enough to have you browsing for at least half an hour. It won’t be easy to pick something out of all their products, but it will be fun!

Souvenir recommendation: Halloween or Christmas decorations

All of Buckskins’ decorations here are handmade and completely unique from the things you’d find at a big box store. Before every holiday, but especially for the fall and winter seasons, Buckskins is a great place to find not only creative household items, but also greeting cards, themed clothing, and anything else you might need for the holidays.

There is tons of shopping to do in Camrose and is a much quieter option than big city malls or commons where you get high traffic, loud noises, and lineups. The shopping in Camrose is a bit slower-paced but offers all the same great types of selections with a lot of local Alberta flair. If you haven’t quite found the perfect souvenir, try these other local shops: Sole City Shoes, The Trendy Walrus, Duff Layton’s Menswear, Bra Necessities, or Tish’s Fashions.
