Rustic Camping- an Authentic Family Experience.
Why Go?
Experience a rustic camping experience on the Kikino Métis Settlement, located 2 hours Northeast of Edmonton, AB.
With over 160 acres of pristine aspen woods to explore, Hideaway Adventure Grounds is a place of retreat, intended for healing and wellness, a place to enjoy the local wildlife and picturesque scenery and is perfectly suited for experiential, land-based learning and activities.
Perfect for a family gathering, a workshop, retreat, or a quiet night, or two, in the country. Experience the hospitality of this Métis community and share in the rich stories of the Métis People. History-rich attractions are within easy day trips. Discover places like Métis Crossing, the Lac La Biche Mission or take in local powwows. Later you can taste bannock you prepare over an open fire and listen to stories from the past that hold lessons in the telling.
Hideaway Adventure Grounds offers a back-to-the-basics experience with self-contained camping – no power, no water, and no wifi… but lots of stars and the sounds of untouched nature!
