Long Lake Ski Area
Find this family-friendly resort amidst the scenery of the Long Lake Provincial Park in Thorhild County. They offer downhill skiing and snowboarding for all ages with 13 downhill & snowboarding runs with a rope tow & T-bar lifts. Ski equipment rentals are also available. The designated tobogganing area is great if you’re looking for another way to go downhill!

Kinosoo Ridge Snow Resort
On the shores of Cold Lake, Kinosoo Ridge welcomes you to have a ski adventure within its 42 acres. Four lifts will get you quickly to the slopes and the terrain park is perfect to try out new tricks. Kinosoo Ridge has served as Northeast Alberta’s premiere downhill ski facility for 35 years. There are 13 runs of varied skiing ability, tubing and terrain parks.

Sunridge Ski Hill
Skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, terrain parks, and more than 10 runs means a fun-filled day! With six lifts, this is your east Edmonton-area winter playground. Stay until sunset, you’ll love the views of the North Saskatchewan River!

Mount Joy Snow Resort
Volunteer-operated, Mount Joy is an affordable way to strap on the skis. The hill has a T-bar, tow rope, for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels to enjoy a variety of runs with diverse terrain. Find anything you need from lift passes, rentals, ski school lessons and concession services.

Valley Ski Hill
A resort of over 65 years, Valley Ski Hill introduced skiing to East Central Alberta. The Valley as it’s known, has grown to include a full-service lodge, rental shop, and ski school. Trails ranging from beginner to expert offer excellent terrain and are patrolled by qualified Ski Patrol. Just southwest of Alliance, you’ll ski within views of the beautiful Battle River Valley.

Snow Tubing Parks
You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy the thrill of this winter activity. In fact, you don’t need to do much. So long as you can sit down and hold tight, snow tubing is definitely for you!
Have you really lived until you’ve tubed at Kinosoo Ridge?! The tube park overlooks French Bay which gives you gorgeous views as gravity does the work for you!
With the biggest, and fastest tube park with its own lift, you’ll have a blast at Sunridge! Tubing is available everyday – just remember to book your timeslots before they sell out.
