Elk Island National Park has grown in popularity over the last decade, as more people have come to discover its charms. Visiting during the week allows you to avoid long lineups and crowds, as weekends can be very busy during the summer, especially with the Canada Strong Pass offering free admission to the park.
Alberta’s historic sites and museums participate in the Canada Strong Pass, which runs from June 19 to September 7, 2026. Visitors can take advantage of the Alberta discount as many times as they like until the end of the program.
