Highlights to see.

A statue of Angus Shaw, a late 1700s fur trader and explorer, stands guard at the Bonnyville & District Museum, where you can relive the adventures and witness the hardships of life in the fur trade. It also features the pioneering families of the area. Don’t miss the John Deere exhibit visiting the museum this month!

Nearby, the Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre is a year-round hub for recreation, fitness, events and entertainment, including a 32-foot indoor climbing wall – designed to portray real rock surfaces with an overhang and manoeuvrable rocks for the added challenge! Local artists show their work on a monthly basis in the upstairs hallway, many of which are available for sale.

The Bonnyville and district area is world-famous for its fishing, wild game hunting, birdwatching and other natural attractions. Take your pick of 12 campgrounds – all within 20 minutes of town.

Camp at Vezeau Beach M.D. Campground, located on Moose Lake. Take the Moose Lake trail going northeast all the way around the lake to the Iron Horse Trail junction.

Cycle or walk the Jessie Lake Trail and catch glimpses of a variety of bird species.

Be a part of the adventure Journey North Cider Co. Order a charcuterie board with your ciders and soak up the views as you relax on their outdoor patio. Play it up in the game room with foosball or shuffleboard.
