CAMROSE ATTRACTIONS & EVENTS
For history buffs, the Camrose Heritage Railway Station & Park gives you a chance to tour the 1911 Canadian Northern Railway Depot and 13 spectacular heritage gardens Ride the train with Mirror Lake Express Train Rides as pictured above. This popular little train is 92 ft long, carries 24 passengers, and was beautifully crafted by a resident of Camrose. Plan to visit on a Tuesday or Thursday evening during the summer months to enjoy a delicious ice cream and take a leisurely train ride along the picturesque shores of Mirror Lake.
There are numerous events taking place throughout the year in Camrose including the ever-popular Jaywalkers Jamboree, and the premier outdoor music festival Big Valley Jamboree. Whether you’re a true-blue country music fan or just enjoy getting out for some great fun, this is an event you won’t want to miss including the Camrose Kickn’ Country Parade.
More music events take place at the Augustana Campus (University of Alberta). Enjoy student and faculty music concerts – vocal, choral and instrumental – as well as dramatic productions throughout the year. The Bailey Theatre and Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre are other venues that provide regular musical entertainment.
