How we celebrate Canada Day will be different this year, but the pride for our country remains constant. In the Go East of Edmonton region, we have wide-open spaces you can explore crowd-free. Here are some Canada Day activities you can look forward to and celebrate Canada’s Birthday!

BruderheimAs the finale to Canada Day Week events, the town of Bruderheim has a unique take on celebrations with a Canada Day Evening “Reverse Parade” that will be going through the neighbourhoods.  Set up your lawnchairs on your driveway, show us your best Everyday Hero outfit, and wave at Brud the Bear!

Camrose –  The City of Camrose has not just one but TWO ways for you to celebrate our nations’ birthday! On Tuesday June 30th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, stop by the “Make your Own Pancake Breakfast” drive thru and pick up your goodies for the big day! Available by donation (to the Camrose Fire Department). Supplies are limited. On the big day, July 1, local country music artist Travis Dolter will be leading the Canada Day Convoy, making stops through the city between 10 am and 1 pm. Bring your own lawn chair, find a distanced spot so you can sit back and relax!

InnisfreeCome check out entertainment from local artists and enjoy food at the Innisfree Hotel from 4-6 pm AND 10pm Fireworks at the Innisfree Ball Diamonds! 

Mannville – The Village of Mannville has a few different treats for you! The morning will feature the Mannville School singing O’Canada, followed by a Parade departing from the Mannville School, “Chalk the Block” & to cap things off Drive-in Fireworks at the Mannville Riverview Golf Course for 11pm!

SedgewickEnjoy a day of festivities starting with a Parade at 11 am, a relaxing beer for the adults at the Wild Rose CO-OP Rec Centre starting at 4 pm and 11 pm Fireworks at the Ag Grounds!

Thorhild Pick up food from local restaurants and enjoy Fireworks at the Thorhild Community Hall starting 10:30 pm.  

CANCELLED due to weather, event will be postponed to a later date:  Vermilion Get an early start to celebrations June 30th at the Lakeland College Football Field in Vermilion with a Drive-in Movie featuring “Onward” and Fireworks to follow!
