Great Places for a Fall Shopping Experience

When you shop at a local store East of Edmonton, you will find it unique, uncrowded, safer, and a “real” shopping experience that will be a breath of fresh air compared to Big City or online shopping.

Here are a few of many great places to enjoy this fall and for upcoming Holiday shopping.

Gibson’s Home Hardware – Wainwright

Craig’s Cornerstore – Vermilion

Buckskins Emporium – Camrose

Nook in the Woods – Thorhild

Sentimental Salvage & Design – Myrnam

Sip & Savour Great, Local Food & Drinks!

Back 40 Distillery – We love to feature this Camrose staple for good reason – they have some delicious products including the Wintertime Frost & popular Ol’ Apple Betty!

Barr Estate Winery – From farm, to your wine glass! You’ll enjoy organic, delicious wines from  Strathcona County’s only Alberta Cottage Winery.

Serben Farms Store – Need to pick up goodies for the big celebration? You can’t go wrong with Serben Farms Store near Smoky Lake. We recommend their specialties flavoured jerky, artisan cheese and pies everyone is bound to love.

Twisted Fork – With its amazing food, smooth cocktails, you must stop at this St. Paul gem where the fall menu is absolutely scrumptious! The best part? It’s locally inspired!

Check out many of our local distilleries like Cold Lake Brewing and Distilling when you read our Feature Story…Sip and Savour!

Fabulous Fall Fun – A Day of Family Fun in Vegreville!

Looking for a spooky way to celebrate Halloween? Vegreville is home to The Haunted Hike! It claims to be Alberta’s most terrifying Haunted House with new and improved rooms scaring you every weekend in October! For scary and not so scary hours of operation and admission, visit The Haunted Hike.

Have fun outdoors at the Vegreville Corn Maze. There’s a new, fun theme each weekend with lots of fun activities for the kids – corn maze, bale maze, craft corner and more! The Maze is open on Saturdays/Sundays from 12 pm – 6 pm. With 2 weekends left in October, you’re invited to come and get exploring Vegreville!
