held yearly the last Saturday of November is an exciting winter festival celebrating the holiday season with activities and entertainment.

LAMONT Attractions & Events
Pay a visit to the Mohyla monument which marks the centenary of Ukrainian settlement in Canada, located just north of Lamont. A few must-sees are the murals on the north wall of Lamont High School, north and east walls of the Arena, Lamont Health Care Centre, and several other locations around town.
Go bargain hunting at the Town Wide Garage Sale in June. Don’t miss the town’s Parade down main street, during the Lamont & District Agricultural Society Summer Sizzler Rodeo in July. Plan to attend the Lamont County’s 8th annual Baba’s & Borshch Ukrainian Festival in August. To round out the year, the Lamont Community Christmas Light Up is the last Saturday of November. Celebrate the holiday season with musical entertainment, cookie decorating, a Christmas market, bake sales, pictures with Santa, wagon rides around town, a Festival of Trees, and the official light-up of the “Winter Wonder Lights” next to the Lamont Town Office. The kids will love it!
Outdoors
Take a stroll at Hillside Park, fly a kite on top of the massive hill, or have a picnic while the kids play at the spray park and playground. Feel free to use the exercise equipment, or enjoy the view off Mallards Landing just off the walking paths. Relax with a day of fishing at the Lamont Fish Pond, home to a great population of trout, refreshed every spring. Lamont is also the gateway to Elk Island National Park where you could be spending days hiking, camping, golfing or relaxing while watching the large herds of bison.
