Holden Junior Cattlemen Society

The Holden Junior Cattlemen Society hosts an annual event “The Junior Cattlemen Show” at the Holden Complex. the juniors enjoy competitions in grooming, handling, and showing their animals. A dinner and entertainment follow the competitions and a pancake breakfast is served. For further information call 780-618-6895.

Step into the charming world of the Holden Gallery, housed in a beautifully converted 1915 church that perfectly blends historic character with artistic inspiration. This unique space showcases an ever-changing collection of local arts and crafts, rustic country décor, and hosts regular workshops. The gallery is open Fridays through Sundays from noon to 4 pm, with private viewings available by appointment.

During your visit, be sure to explore the nearby Holden Museum, located east of the Main Street Cenotaph in the Masonic Hall. The museum is open mid-May to early September (Fri–Sun, 12–4 pm) or by appointment.

Holden is home to a variety of vibrant community events throughout the year. In June, the Holden Farmer’s Day, hosted by Holden’s Agricultural Society, features a parade, barbecues, face painting, bouncy castles, races, a family dance, beer gardens, and more.

Tucked away in a serene, tree-rich, and well-maintained area lies Holden Village Campground, featuring sites with 30-amp power. The nearby Sports Grounds, playground, and spray park will keep the children entertained! Additionally, Gazebo Park provides a perfect backdrop for strolls, birdwatching, or picnicking.
