Let’s talk great golfing — East of Edmonton style! Did you know? Trip Advisor has rated Coal Creek Golf Resort #8 in the Top Ten Golf Courses in Alberta. The Broadmoor in Sherwood Park is ranked #14, and Mannville Riverview and Silver Creek in Camrose County are in the Top 30 courses in Alberta. In 2019, GolfLifeAb.com rated Coal Creek as having the best golf course conditions and proclaimed Mannville the Greatest 9 Hole Golf course in Alberta. Golf Northeast of Edmonton

Athabasca Golf Club — Test your skill at the scenic Athabasca Golf and Country Club. If you’re up to the challenge, this course was rated the fourth most difficult in the country. Bonnyville Golf & Country Club – Champions should always play in style. The Bonnyville Golf & Country Club brings an elite level of comfort to this 18-hole championship golf course, one of the most respected in Northern Alberta. It’s a par 72 course with a diverse playground for you to sink your teeth into — narrow fairways, gorgeous hills and bunkers and stunning vistas as far as the eye can see of Moose Lake and Chatwin Lake. Ardmore Golf and Country Club – Located just north of Hwy 28 between Bonnyville and Cold Lake you will find the Ardmore Golf course. Cold Lake – Get back in touch with nature! The Cold Lake Golf and Winter Club offers scenic views and ample wildlife viewing opportunities, including the chance to spot foxes, deer, moose and bears. Lac La Biche Golf Course – With some of the most scenic views in Alberta, spend your summer at Lac La Biche Golf & Country Club! Open past 9PM most of the summer, this 18-hole course will be sure to challenge your game. Check out the newly expanded pro shop and all of the membership promotions happening this season. Redwater Golf Club – Between its lush greens and family-friendly atmosphere, you’ll think twice about saying no to a quick putt at Redwater. The golf club offers a great junior program for kids and its close proximity to several and amenities makes Redwater a great place for tournaments. 

Smoky Lake Golf Club – Designed by renowned Alberta golf legend Sid Puddicombe, the Smoky Lake Golf Course promises beautiful scenery and needs to be on your golf bucket list! Offering four sets of tees, scenic holes and some perfectly laid out traps, enjoy relaxing greens on a spectacular nine-hole course that just seems to get better and better every year.

St. Paul Golf Course – Offering a variety of services including cart rentals, golf lessons, practice range, a practice green, and a brand-new clubhouse, St. Paul Golf Course has it all. With great service and great prices, head to the Pro Shop for some new gear and stylish golf apparel. Don’t forget to also stop by the Tin Cup Restaurant and Patio which is open seven days a week for great eats!

Gibbons – if you’re wanting a full weekend of golf AND camping, hit up Goose Hummock Golf Resort! There is something for everyone looking to play a round of golf on Goose Hummock’s 18-hole picturesque championship course, unwind on the clubhouse patio, enjoy the 19th Hole restaurant, or roast marshmallows over a fire.

 

Golf East of Edmonton

Broadmoor Public Golf Course — Whether you want to play a full game, practice at the driving range, or take lessons to learn the sport, The Broadmoor has it all. Check out their website for info on leagues, events, and programs. Getting hungry after a game? The clubhouse is open daily from 6:30 AM to dusk. Whitetail Crossing Golf Course – Located right in Mundare, this 18-hole course is not for the faint of heart. It’s been home to tournaments and been named a ‘must-play’ course by players all across Alberta since 2011. Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Course – Offering 3370 yards of intense nine-hole action amidst water hazards, bunkers and difficult fairways, the Vegreville Kinsmen Golf Course is a great getaway for just about anyone. Enjoy the clubhouse after a round of great golf.

Mannville Riverview Golf Course – This golf course is one of the most challenging in Alberta. Combining a beautiful terrain with twisting fairways, thick rough and tricky greens. Be sure to put in some time at the practise putting greens before trying your skills on the course. Fortunately, the golf course does its best to keep you occupied. Offering exciting packages like $1 a hole Mondays, senior specials on Tuesdays—and stay and play packages with more than 60 camping lots on their grounds—there’s no reason to say no to a challenge at the Mannville Golf Course.

Golf Southeast of Edmonton

 Camrose Golf Course — Established in 1922, the Camrose Golf Course is a City of Camrose owned and operated, 18-hole public course. The course provides all amenities required by both the recreational golfer and the golfer seeking additional challenges to their game. Book your tee time online! Silver Creek Golf Course — This beautiful 27-hole course, surrounded by thousands of acres of rolling grain lands that strategically wind around the former farm’s historic barn, now clubhouse and restaurant. Daysland Golf Club – Described as East Central Alberta’s hidden gem, this golf course is tucked away along Highway 13, a 9-hole course that’s fun and testing for players of all skill levels. There’s a new island par 3 hole, a stunning new addition to a course riddled with creeks, ponds and sloping greens. The irresistible Stay and Play packages the golf club offers means you’ve got no reason not to make Daysland your new weekend camping destination.

Coal Creek Golf Resort – Celebrating 10 years open, this beloved course located right on the original Dodds Coal Mine. It’s likely THE only course to have you teeing off surrounded by vintage coal mining gear, all the while making your way through difficult black sand traps. That’s That’s right – black sand traps! It’s a scenic course that demands a different playing style and their weekday specials are worthwhile for anyone looking to make the drive out to hit a few balls.

Double Dam Gold Course & Campground – Located 30 minutes south of Camrose, Double Dam’s 18-round course is all you need for a day of family fun! Along with daily golf specials, the onsite restaurant also has delicious daily food and drink deals to satisfy your appetite. End your night at the spacious campground so you can wake up and do it all again tomorrow.

Miquelon Hills Golf Course – This course is especially great for both experienced and new golfers alike. Family owned and operated, it offers scenic views across nine holes for you to enjoy while you play. Seasonal RV camping is also available with each site being equipped with power and water, so you can camp in comfort. For members, fun events and tournaments are happening all summer, so make sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun!

Viking Golf & Country Club – A 9-hole course open 7 days a week!  They offer cart rentals, shed rentals, pro shop, and club house.  Membership fees are $450 for an adult and vary for students, seniors, juniors, mini juniors, and families.  If you are looking for some new golf necessities check their pro shop out.  They offer a self registration box for all the early birds out there!  If you have a large group you would like to book for outside of their regular hours, they will accommodate you as best they can.  For a bite to eat or to quench your thirst after your round, check out their fully licensed clubhouse with Chinese Restaurant attached.

Forestburg Golf Club – A 9 hole public course that also has a RV park adjacent to it with 17 fully serviced lots.  They offer a driving range and putting green to get that swing just right.  If you want to give golf a try but don’t have a set of clubs, no problem!  The proshop has clubs to rent as well!  After a round, be sure to stop in at the fully licensed clubhouse and enjoy a meal at the restaurant.

Hardisty Lakeview Golf Course – Right next to the beautiful views offered by Hardisty Lake is the 9-hole Hardisty Lake Golf Course. Memberships are available at great prices as well as 10-round passes at the price of 11—what a deal! The course also features a campsite as well as a fully-licensed restaurant and patio to end your day with a great meal and relax with a few drinks. Since it’s open seven days a week, head out there any time!

Irma Golf Club – this 9-hole golf course has it all! With grass greens, driving range and practice green, it features a rolling terrain suitable for all levels. If you’re playing the Roadtrip Adventure Game, check out this sticker station and play a round!

Edgerton Golf Course – With beautiful greens and fairways, golfers of any skill level will enjoy this course only minutes outside of Edgerton. Equipment and accessories are available to rent, and a full-service clubhouse is on-site for you to relax after a great game. RV sites are also available for booking, so plan your golf trip today!

Wainwright Golf Course — This 18-hole, 6,400-yard course features lush fairways and greens to challenge your golf game. If you’re looking to brush up on your skills, stop by the practice facility and chat with the onsite professionals looking to help. Want to stay awhile? Book a spot at the RV park!
